The "Farm"

My dad just moved out to the middle of abso-freaking-lutely no where...

Why? No clue.

But at least it's got some ok scenery and an amazing view of the stars at night. And he's happy, which is all I'm worried about for the moment. Oh and getting all the crap from one house to the next. Oh and spending my weekends sitting outside trying to sell said crap. Oh and making sure he doesn't go broke buying golf carts and solar power.

No worries, ya?

The stairs on one of his many decks around the house. This one is sitting in the middle of nothing attached to nothing. But awesome nonetheless.

If you look closely you can see his bird feeding tray that he set up so he can watch the bagillion cardinals, blue jays, scissor tails, and finches that fly around at sunset.

He has this random fencing going throughout his property.
There's no real reason for it seeing as it blocks nothing off...

His "pond" for the aforementioned birds to bathe in. Of course he made it himself. And of course there will be seven more cascading down the hillside. Because it's my dad.

Junk In The Trunk

After my grandmother's funeral, I passed by a junkyard in the middle of nowhere. I kept driving but after one block I decided to turn around and hop the fence to see how many shots I could get of this rust infested place. I only got a couple pictures because I was afraid I would get eaten by a rabid dog or shot by a three-toothed hillbilly...

Thanksgiving

Oh how I love Thanksgiving...
It's almost like Christmas but minus the stress.

Food
Family
Fun
Camping (again)
Love

Nothing better :)

The next two are my take at "low-fi photography"
which I LOVE
but can't really seem to conquer...

These are taken by my partner in crime of me and my partner in life
Thanks Uncle Mark :)

Hico, TX

The tiny town of Hico has nothing to draw attention to itself other than antiques and Billy the Kid. Of course there are three other towns in America that claim Billy so I guess it's not that big of a deal. They do have a museum dedicated to him though! The city itself wasn't what made that weekend great, it was leaving the city in which I live and being with people I never get to see.

Hamilton Pool

For my Dad's birthday he received a coupon stating: "One Free Camping Trip With Your Kids" which he decided to redeem for a trip to Austin in the trailer. I had heard about Hamilton Pool in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and been planning a trip for months. But with a car and step-mother on their deathbeds, traveling wasn't an option for a while.

When the trip finally came to pass, my throat decided it was going to hurt. Bad. I'm talking worst pain I've had since the strep throat incident in college. BUT being the trooper that I am...I just had to get these shots :)

Along the roadside we saw a billboard for "THE INTERSPACE CAVERNS" and there was no way my little brother and I would be letting my dad drive on with out stopping to explore the caves...

And then the pool.

Oh that evil sunlight that murders my pictures! It was high noon and bright as, well, the sun. That's my excuse for only grabbing a few mediocre photos.
