I flew to PA last week for one final "visit" before I officially move there. In between job interviews, apartments viewings, and drug testings, Dan and I went to the world-renowned Longwood Gardens covering 1050 acres of Kennett Square, PA.

Dusting Off The Cobwebs
I am the absolute worst blogger when it comes to posting and updating...I just haven't been focusing on photography a lot lately. I've been up to my ears in stress and there's the whole thing about moving across the country. Nonetheless, I still want to keep the creative juices flowing! So a couple weeks ago I went to my same ol' spot and snapped a few shots of the summer flowers at the Botanical Gardens. I tried to post them the same day I took them but blogger was acting funny...everything seems to working now! I think I'll even post another *shock*

Niagara Falls...meh
I got to go to a wedding in Niagara Falls, NY last week. Now I'm not saying it wasn't beautiful or impressive or fun...I just don't think I'll ever go back. One in five buildings are boarded up and falling down. There is only about 2 places to eat and they are ridiculously expensive. I will say, we didn't go to the Canada side (not everyone had passports) so I know that it is a little better over there and therefore I can't make a complete judgment. Nonetheless, it was nice to see a national landmark and go to a cute little wedding of Dan's long time friend.
I will say this: Niagara Falls is amazingly spectacularly awesome compared to Buffalo...
After 4 days in NY we drove back to PA and decided to go to an abandoned house right next to the hospital Dan's dad works at. It is on some really beautiful land with an awesome old barn and a cute little pond. No one seems to know why it's abandoned though. Of course, the barn is highly occupied by about 200 barn swallows that fly out at your face when you get too close...

New York New York
I have taken way too many trips to the northeast without going to NYC...so when I visited my boyfriend for spring break last month, I finally convinced him to take me!
Let me just say: I LOVE NEW YORK
It's so busy and large scale and industrial and urban and just plain awesome. Yes, like any city it has it's problems (cost of living is ridiculous, it's pretty much dirty everywhere you go, can be extremely noisy, timeless places like Broadway and Times Square have basically become shopping malls, you can feel like a nobody amongst eight million people, etc...)
BUT
It is also full of amazing architecture, you can do anything you want there and people will love it then call it art, some of the most amazing/eclectic food in America, more culture than you'll find anywhere else in the country, and you just feel kind of cool when you're walking around the streets of THE NYC

Travelings
So ya...it's been a while! Only three months this time >.<
A little over a month ago I went on a cruise with my best friends to Jamaica and Mexico.
We had a BLAST! It was a lot of fun and very relaxing, but it was also an eye opening experience being in another country for the first time. Being the minority in another country where you don't speak the language makes you really appreciate going home :)

Sunset from the deck
Walking trough what the Jamaicans call a "craft market"
One of the stalls had a guy selling wooden figurines. I snapped this with my camera on my shoulder because it upsets them if they see you taking pictures of their things.
The rod iron gates outside of the only nice house in Montego Bay
Local workers putting up a "fence"
Great electrical system...
This is the perfect representation of Jamaica: beauty amongst filth
The port we docked at in Cozumel, Mexico
El burro
Aye aye aye aye!!
